Dimestore’s back . . we had a little holiday last month and now we’re positively gagging for the dance off that is Dimestore Disco.
This month sees the start of the caption competition for our flyer. No prizes, just thought a picture like that deserves a caption comp.
But anyway, enough with the tomfoolery, it’s at the usual time in the usual place. I’ll be drinking my usual. The Hartley, Tower Bridge Road Friday 9th March from 9 till a bit later on.

Hello Folks! Dimestore hits the ground running again on Fri 12th Jan in the usual place, the upstairs room of the Hartley pub on Tower Bridge Road.
We’ll be playing the best bits we got in our Christmas stockings and from the bottom of the box set bargain bin at HMV. New year, same disco! Woo!

After a succession of elegantly shambolic disco nights earlier this year, the Dimestore DJs are back with their very own mobile disco they bought off eBay. We’ll be playing some sparkly spangley jingley jangley indie pop tunes and we strongly recommend that you come along and join the fun!!
We’ll be riding our mobile disco on into the Hartley on Tower Bridge Road on Sat 7th October and taking over the upstairs from about 8pm until late (2am is the rumour).
Come on and join us! We’ve got stroboscopes!

Attention!
Liam Ogs in Newington Causeway has been closed down. We do not know why. We do not know when. We do not know what happened to the people that ran it.
We do know that indie pop discos carry on regardless and we are pleased to announce a new venue, The Ship, 68 Borough Road, between Borough tube and Elephant and Castle! Hoorah!
This is not a million miles away from the old place, but it does look like it has beer (a nice selection of ales- it’s a fullers pub) and regular (normal) clientele. The disco plays on Fri 12th May from 9pm till 1am.
Hope to see you there!
Here’s the map!
(Just wanted to make sure that anyone who was planning on going, didn’t go to the wrong place)

Hey kids,
It’s good, it’s on a Friday, It’s on good Friday, It’s the Good Friday Dimestore Disco! Hoorah!
Playing the usual jingle jangle indie pop, it’s the perfect way to kickstart the bank holiday weekend.
This will be the second time in our new palace of pop (or venue as some people call it) and after last time we think it will be suiting us very well indeed. Ms Sarah Carter will be joining us once again on the decks and 1-2 sees the return of dj-relay – be prepared to dance your socks off!
So that’s Friday 14th April from 9pm till late at Liam Ogs, Newington Butts, Kennington
Praise the lord for four day weeks/weekends!

So, 2006 has been okay so far, but have you not been feeling that its beek lacking something? Well worry no more because the dimestore disco is back, and it’s bigger and better!
We have a shiny new venue, Liam Ogs on Newington Butts (yes, that is the name of the street) which is close to both Kennington and Elephant tube stations. Hoorah!
New owners are painting it sparkly as we speak!
Also we’re now free (though you will be pleased to hear that the flow of free dime bars will be unaffected).
And we’re now open until 2am!
The first night is on Friday 10th March and it will continue to be the second Friday of every month from then on.
So remember remember the 10th of er, March for more fun and indie shaped frolics.
Check out the attached flyer and come along and shake ya ass to some dancing tunes.
